Number of the Beast

Blog Land! Today, I give to you (almost by the skin of my teeth) a project made for the latest challenge (the Number of the Beast) of Haunted Design House. I know, I know...it's been ages and ages since I have played along. Not because I didn't want to, of course. But time just didn't allow me. Well, this time, I HAD to play. 666 was always a big number in my house...no really! My Dad had always found 666 to be a recurring number in his life. Weird, but true. His parking spot at work, it was on his license plate, and other unusual situations.  None of these things were sought out. In fact, when he had asked his job about the parking spot, they apologized and said they would change it. He insisted that they didn't. So I was excited to see this theme...though ironically, I paid no heed to the number factor of the challenge, only the "beast/devil" aspect of it..

I worked with As Death from Smeared Ink. I haven't use this set in a while, and I thought it was perfect.

I colored the image with Spectrum Noir markers (and 1 Copic!). But did ya check out my trees???

The black die cut tree is a new die from Dreamweaver Stencils. My red trees are the original stencil version, also from Dreamweaver. You can find the Leafless Tree stencil HERE, and the Leafless Tree die HERE. I also sprayed some iRESISTables spray from Imagine Crafts for some texture and shine.
***I am also entering this 6x6 mini page into this month's Smudgy Antic's Challenge of Anything Goes.
Thanks for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!

Christmas in July with Imagine Crafts & Stencil Girl!

Hello! Have you heard? The Imagine AIRs have been hopping with Stencil Girl! If you have been here before, you know I loooove me some stencils, so this collaboration was very exciting for me! The teams are hopping for 3 consecutive Saturdays, and this is week 2. I have the entire list of hop links at the bottom of the post. Be sure you don't miss anyone! I decided to to create an extra large gift tag with my new stencils. Using red cardstock, I taped down the Journal Texture #8 Stencil  and inked it up with Golden Glitz Delicata ink . I promise you, this is the BEST gold ink you will ever use! The Journal stamp only has 2 diamonds on it (it's a 4x4" stencil), so after I inked up the first pair, I moved over the stencil, lined it up, and inked again. Next I wanted to do something textural with the Urban Insiders Star . So I took some evergreen cardstock, taped down the star, and slathered on some yummy Iridescent Green Creative Medium . After the medium dried, I ga
