SISC23 ~ "Button It Up, Buttercup!

I have the latest StampInsanity Challenge to share with you today! For this challenge, you have to use buttons! Buttons! and more Buttons! And, use a 'butter-y' color too! Here’s my card:

SISC23-1 I broke out Nicholette once again, since she’s one of my favorite images from StampInsanity! I dolled her up in shades of yellow with a touch of pink. And I colored her umbrella in some fun coordinating colors. Here’s a close up.

SISC23-2

I was a little worried that I wouldn’t find paper to go with my color choices, but low and behold! I found a couple that were just perfect! I will admit, that I feel like I need something else on this card. I tried some bows…some ribbons…it just didn’t seem to work. I was looking to add something above and below the image of Nicholette…I just think that there’s to much of the polka dot pattern. So, perhaps I will just remove some of it so that more of the flower pattern shows. What say you?

SISC23-3

I did add some Stickles below her, as if she were on a super sparkly floor. I think it looks pretty…but the more I look at the card, the more I think I may trim some of the polka dots off.

As I work out my little conundrum, why not visit the rest of the Groovy Gurlz?

PS: I have something very exciting to share! Tomorrow, I am the featured stamper over at Artful INKables!!! How cool is that? So please make sure you visit their blog HERE. You’ll get to see some of my AI projects, and learn a bit more about little old me! Have an inspiring day!

As a special surprise for Tammy, we have a combination of current and former DT members participating in the hop. Her inspiring art and generous heart have touched us all. We want to take a moment to show our gratitude and thank Tammy for the blessings and joys we have received as members of the ADFD DT. Our theme is “A Collection of ADFD Favorites” - so each DT member’s blog you visit will share something she has created with one of her favorite ADFD images.  The hop has   hidden prizes  - a commenter from each hidden prize stop will win a choice of one image from the ADFD Shop ! Christmas in July with Imagine Crafts & Stencil Girl!

Hello! Have you heard? The Imagine AIRs have been hopping with Stencil Girl! If you have been here before, you know I loooove me some stencils, so this collaboration was very exciting for me! The teams are hopping for 3 consecutive Saturdays, and this is week 2. I have the entire list of hop links at the bottom of the post. Be sure you don't miss anyone! I decided to to create an extra large gift tag with my new stencils. Using red cardstock, I taped down the Journal Texture #8 Stencil  and inked it up with Golden Glitz Delicata ink . I promise you, this is the BEST gold ink you will ever use! The Journal stamp only has 2 diamonds on it (it's a 4x4" stencil), so after I inked up the first pair, I moved over the stencil, lined it up, and inked again. Next I wanted to do something textural with the Urban Insiders Star . So I took some evergreen cardstock, taped down the star, and slathered on some yummy Iridescent Green Creative Medium . After the medium dried, I ga
